Rising majestically to 29,035 feet, Everest dominates the horizon with its azure sky and snow-capped peaks, deep in the heart of the Sherpa homeland.
Embark on this 14-day adventure trek to the base of Mt. Everest, following the trail of Dhamey’s father, Tenzing Norgay, and the historic British expedition that conquered the summit in 1953. The classic Everest Base Camp journey starts and ends in Kathmandu, a vibrant city nestled between mountains and plains. For two weeks, you will trek through the land of the Sherpa people, exploring quaint villages, ancient monasteries, and hidden caves, while acclimating your body to the altitude of 18,000 ft. Witness the awe-inspiring Khumbu Ice Fall and its colossal seracs, as you ascend to the peak of Kala Patar at 18,000 feet, for a breathtaking view of Everest’s windswept summit.
This is a bucket list journey for many—and part of the NORGAY legacy.
Daily Itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVE KATHMANDU -Explore City.
Day 2: KATHMANDU - Explore City.
Day 3: PHAKDING (2620M) Fly to Lukla (35min). Trek to Phakding (3 hrs).
Day 4: NAMCHE BAZAAR (3440M) - Trek to Namche (5 hrs).
Day 5: NAMCHE BAZAAR (3440M) - Acclimatize.
Day 6: TENGBOCHE (3,900M) - Trek to Tengboche (5 hrs).
Day 7: DINGBOCHE (4,410M) - Trek to Dingboche (5 hrs).
Day 8: LOBUCHE (4,930M)- Trek to Lobuche (4/5 hrs).
Day 9: EVEREST BASE CAMP (5,364M) - Back to Gorak Shep (7 hrs).
Day 10: KALA PATHAR (5,545M) TO PERICH (6 hrs).
Day 11: TENGBOCHE (3,900M) - Trek to Tengboche (4/5 hrs).
Day 12: NAMCHE BAZAAR (3440M) - Trek to Namche (4/5 hrs).
Day 13: LUKLA (2860M) - Trek back to Lukla (6/7 hrs).
Day 14: KATHMANDU - Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
Day 15: Depart Kathmandu.
